Gifts to the College of Arms

Overmantels

In 2021 The Society commissioned and presented five wooden carved overmantels which have now been installed over the office doors of those Heralds and Kings of Arms who previously did not have such a distinction. Designed by Herald Painter Timothy Noad, they were carved by William Barsley. a graduate of the City and Guilds of London School of Art’s three-year diploma course in Ornamental Woodcarving and Gilding.
