MottoILLUSTRA (illuminate/enlighten)

The name "Åsk-lund" literally translated means "thunder-grove/copse", making the lightning cloud arms canting. The antlers are chosen to represent the armiger's grandfather whose name Oskar (Oscar) is sometimes said to mean deer-friend/lover. Oskar was from a region in Sweden whose arms show "Azure, an oak tree or...", thus the tinctures and the three oak leaves. The oak leaves also have the added meaning of alluding to lund (grove/copse) in the name.
