Sir Peter GWYNN-JONES KCVO
Sir Peter writes: The Arms represent my first effort at heraldic design. By coincidence Gwynn is Welsh for white and my forbears bettered themselves through careers in the Army. Red drops of blood on a white field are therefore not inappropriate. The rationale behind the Crest is that my paternal forebears came from Coity, the Crest is therefore a pun. In addition the coati is an animal for which I have a particular liking and which I have seen many times in the forest of Latin America.
