Mr Cooker’s family lived in Offham in Kent and the distinctive feature of the village is the quintain on the village green. He also has Irish ancestry, his mother being FitzGerald, hence the saltire on the horse’s shoulder taken from the FitzGerald arms. The crest is a pun on Mr Cooker’s surname.
