Jean is our longest serving member of the council, having joined ten years ago. For the last four years she has acted as our visits coordinator and many of you will have met her on visits and at other events. She has decided not to stand for re-election at the 2018 AGM. We thank her for her help and support over the years. She intends to fill up her time in the future with activities at her home on the Isle of Wight. We wish her well.
Dr Adrian Ailes:
We are pleased that Adrian has agreed to be co-opted to the Council. He will stand for election as a full member of the Council at the 2018 AGM. Adrian recently retired from his position as Principal Records Specialist at the National Archives and is now a Visiting Fellow at the University of Bristol. His contribution to the study and research of Heraldry is well known. He has recently been a member of the editorial team for the Coats of Arms, the journal of the Heraldry Society. We look forward to his contributions to the Council of the White Lion Society. He has been a member of the White Lion Society since 1989.
William Hunt: William was elected an Honorary Member of the White Lion Society and has accepted our invitation. We wish him well for the future in his new role at the College of Arms.
