The armiger is a United States citizen whose family is of Italian and Sephardic Jewish (Spanish) origin. As well as being an Officer of the Most Venerable Order of St John he is a Grand Officer of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, a Knight of Magistral Grace of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and an Ufficiale (Officer) in the Order of Merit of the Royal House of Savoy. His arms have been registered in Spain and he is a member of the Noble Compañia de Ballesteros Hijosdalgo de S. Felipe y Santiago. The design of the arms reflects his devout Roman Catholicism, the Italian heritage of his mother, the Jewish heritage of his father and the family’s Spanish history.
