The two chevronels allude to the armiger’s service in the South African Defence Force while the stars and astral crown symbolise his achievement as a helicopter pilot. The Protea is the national flower of South Africa and gives the idea of being home grown. The armiger’s brother Curt Rhodes Roberts and nephew Caleb Roberts are rightfully eligible to use the arms and are heirs to them.
