Mr Lawrence was educated at the Stationers Company’s School and is now a Liveryman of the Company’s arms. The books allude to Mr Lawrence’s association with the antiquarian publishing and to his being a bibliophile. The crest represents Mr Lawrence’s interest in architecture and education. The owl was sometimes used as the emblem of a bookseller. Mr Lawrence’s badge refers to his interest in classical music and also derives from the trumpets held by the Stationer’s Company’s angelic supporters.
